Compounded & FDA-Approved Medications

Compounded medications are patient-specific prescriptions prepared by state-licensed 503A pharmacies pursuant to a valid physician prescription. The FDA does not evaluate compounded products for safety, effectiveness, or quality. A valid prescription from a licensed physician is required. Payment does not guarantee a prescription.

GLP-1 receptor agonist medications and other prescription medications may not be approved by the FDA for all uses discussed. Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not evaluate compounded products for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Where clinically appropriate, the Clinical Partners may also facilitate access to FDA-approved brand-name medications dispensed by standard licensed U.S. pharmacies.
